STC 4035 (c.1950)

STC's ubiquitous replacement for the 4017C. A very robust omni directional moving coil microphone for general speech and effects use. Often seen in news footage from the 1950s and 60s. Not much more can be said about this one really. If you needed a 'bomb proof' microphone that wasn't going to fail you, the 4035 was just the job.

Manchester Radio OBs used to place one of these in every jump for the Grand National at Aintree. They were also used as general effects mics at many sporting events.
